Kelly Silva
Safety Chair - Army

She is an Army veteran and mother of three. She served for five years (2002-2007) in the Idaho Air National Guard. Then in October 2007 she went active-duty Army and for the next seven years she served in the vital area of intelligence, which included a tour of Afghanistan in 2010-11.  She left the Army in November 2014 and moved to Casa Grande.  She first got involved with the Casa Grande VFW during the COVID-19 pandemic and wanted to help where she could instead of staying at home and wanted to reach out to fellow veterans.  This started her journey in leadership where she has served Post 1677 as Sr. Vice, Trustee, and Commander.  She has also served in several District 10 positions and she was elected as the District 10 Commander in June 2024 and appointed as the Department Safety Chair in July 2024.
