From the moment I joined the VFW in Germany, after completing my first tour in Iraq, I felt a sense of belonging. Being able to converse with fellow veterans that knew the same language I did. Who could help me understand the challenges I faced in the years to come. A place to hang out and talk about similar experiences that transcends years. A place to help fellow veterans, to give back to the communities around us in so many ways. To promote Americanism in all its country loving glory. The VFW is for me, 100%.
