Ensuring Accountability, Compliance, and Excellence Across Arizona
District-level inspections of Posts are conducted by the District Inspector or Appointee.
Department-level inspections of Districts are conducted by the Department Inspector, under the direction of the Department Commander.
As part of the inspection process, all Posts in possession of military property such as ceremonial rifles or equipment issued through TACOM (Tank-automotive and Armaments Command) must maintain accurate inventory records. These items are government property and must be properly stored, tracked, and reported annually. Posts are required to verify serial numbers, secure storage, and proper usage according to TACOM guidelines. Any changes in inventory, including damage, loss, or transfer, must be reported immediately. Failure to maintain proper documentation may result in equipment recall or ineligibility for future allocations.
