Arizona’s Voice of Democracy Winner Earns National Honor at Valley Forge

- 2/8/2026

Comrades,

It is my honor to share exciting news regarding our Voice of Democracy (VOD) program and the outstanding students it supports.

Our Department Voice of Democracy winner Thanvi Voruganti has earned the privilege of attending the first National Voice of Democracy Awards and Valley Forge Trip. This should be an unforgettable experience that includes participation in national-level ceremonies, visits to historic sites, and recognition among VFW leadership from across the country.

This trip to Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, represents the culmination of months of dedication, hard work, and patriotism demonstrated by our student participants and the Posts that support them. It also highlights the continued commitment of the Veterans of Foreign Wars to educating our youth on the value of citizenship, service, and freedom.

We are extremely proud of our Thanvi and grateful to every Post, District, Chairman, and volunteers who make the Voice of Democracy program such a success each year. Your efforts directly impact the lives of young Americans and help preserve the principles for which our nation stands.

Additional details regarding the trip agenda and national awards ceremony are attached and shared with you so all members know how this will work. Only the Departments VOD Winners attend Valley Forge. If streamed live we will make sure to get the information out before the event.

Together, we continue to invest in the future of our country—one voice at a time.

Yours in comradeship,

Gregory J. Harrell
